We all know the power of a good spring cleaning to boost your mood and make you feel accomplished, but let’s be real: what we really love is a spring wardrobe refresh. Something about the warmer season just has us itching to toss worn, tired clothes and replace them with the new, the fresh, and the fun. Here’s a list of some of our favorite trends for spring 2018.

1. Lavender

“Millennial pink” has been a trend of the past few years, but we’re loving this slight alteration on the girly color scheme. Spring runways showed this pretty shade of pastel purple in all forms, from lightweight jackets to flowy skirts and blouses.

2. Puffed sleeves

Just like our favorite girl Anne Shirley, (any Anne of Green Gables fans out there?) we’ve always had an affinity for puffed sleeves. Luckily, this ultra-feminine style is back in a big way for spring.

3. Statement straw hats

Straw hats have always made sense for spring, but this year they’re taking on a more bold approach. Look out for statement hats in unique shapes and styles. They’ll make you want to set your simple Panama hat aside and try something a little different.

4. Black and white polka dots

Though we always thinking of florals and stripes in the spring, black and white polka dots are a refreshing pattern to turn to this year. These polka dots are showing up in prints both large and small and can be found on clothing and accessories alike.

5. Feathers

This boho chic style is a perfect match for the carefree days of spring when the weather is just right. We love seeing feathers show up on spring dresses, lightweight tops, and dangly earrings.

6. Fringe

Another boho style, fringe is a fun way to add interest to otherwise simple outfits. Steer clear of fringe vests to avoid the obvious cowgirl reference. Instead, try subtler styles like fringe earrings, fringe strap sandals, or fringe detail skirts and dresses.
